About Me I love to spend time with my family, reading, creating art, being outdoors; hiking, biking, skiing, doing handstands, playing in the water or forest and playing on aerial silks, hoop & trapeze. I really enjoying cooking and baking, especially with my kids. Some of my favourite things to make are: french bread, made up muffins, loafs & cookies, waffles & pancakes, fruit compote and roasted root veggies! I’m also a sucker for puzzles and games! Before becoming a teacher I worked in the fashion industry. Then I decided I didn’t want to sit in front of a computer all day, so I became a teacher. I started teaching in 2007, trained as a high school Home Economics Teacher. I chose to mainly TTOC till I had my first child in 2011, a busy baby boy. Then in 2012 my husband and I opened a small business (grocery/cafe) and had our second child, a beautiful baby girl. In 2015, we left our business & home to move to a new city, to make a new home! I taught preschool and worked with children, until I started teaching again in 2017. Here is where I will stay, as we are not planning on moving anytime soon. The babies we have, are no longer babies! They grow! Up! Fast! In December 2018, I completed my Teacher Librarian Post -Grad Certificate through Queen’s to gain knowledge and skills to apply in my teaching career. Mrs H Mc PS. My favourite book series right now is The Land of Stories!
